Oab not updating
The reason is that the OAB is generated in the MAILBOX role and needs to be copied to the CLIENT ACCESS role. The CLIENT ACCESS role checks for changes every 8 hrs. p=77 Also you can read up on how the OAB is distributed and the scheduling of that distribution here: (This could take several minutes) Step 2: Uncheck the box next to Download changes since last Send/Receive.When you have Cached Exchange Mode enabled, Outlook by will by default cache the main Global Address List as well.Is there any way I can force a manual update of the Offline Address Book (OAB) in Outlook or reset it completely otherwise? In general, Outlook will automatically update the Offline Address Book (OAB) for Exchange accounts once every 24 hours. What ended up happening is about a day later if a user tried to manually download the address book, they would not be able to and would get a 0x80190194 error: Troublshooting So what is this? Well, let’s look at the log files for OAB downloading. In Exchange Server 2013, these files are located in the %Exchange Install%\Logging\OABDownload directory.
The command for the manual update procedure can be found here: Outlook will automatically download updates only unless the size of the changes is larger than 12.5% (one-eighth) of the total OAB size.In Cached Exchange Mode, Outlook 2007 & 2010 downloads a local copy of the Global Address List (GAL), but only updates it every 24 hours. In order to reflect any changes or updates made to the Global Address List, you can force Outlook to download a new copy of the GAL.Open up the latest log file in the directory and see what errors are being reported by the client. In our case, we had these error messages: Notice the error “Is Local OABFile Current: Manifest Enforcement Disabled And Local File Too Old”.
